Eimo Technologies began in 1969 as Triple S Plastics, Inc. Triple S was founded by two brothers, Phillip and David Stewart and their friend Vic Siemers. Located in a leased building in Vicksburg, MI, Triple S built the manufacturing plant located on Portage Road in 1974. In 1978 a facility was constructed on East Prairie Street in Vicksburg to house additional manufacturing as well as tool construction. In early 1990 the Portage Road facility was destroyed by fire. Rebuilt in early 1991 it remains the largest manufacturing facility owned by Eimo. In 1993 a new building was built next to the Portage Road facility to house the Company’s Tooling and Technology Centre, allowing the Prairie Street facility additional manufacturing capacity. In August 2001 Triple S Plastics merged with Eimo Oyj of Lahti, Finland and the name was changed to Eimo Americas, Inc. The name was changed again to Eimo Technologies, Inc. in 2008 after the purchase of the company by Nissha USA, Inc., which remains the present owner.
